Parents weekend!

A few weekends ago my parents came to town for my graduation party. Don't get to excited. I still haven't graduated yet. My last day at school is December 12th and then I will take the state board sometime in January or February. My school celebrates it early so that they can combine with a few other classes.

WE tried to cram in as much as possible in such a short time.
We went to the Sutro Baths which is the ruins of an old bath house on the beach.
Watching the waves

At the graduation party. Thank you so much mom and dad for making it possible for me to go into such an exciting career.

Also, thank you Jacob for all the love and support while I tried to decide what to do with my life. And also for letting me practice my mens haircutting skills!
Me, Amanda, and Jessica. Just the coolest/prettiest/awesomest girls at the school lol

My Intro teach who is hilarious and made sure we didn't get to frustrated with finger waves.
Priscilla- my current instructor who is fabulous and has made me not so freaked out about state boards.

The next day the boys went golfing and my and my mom drove the carts.

Love my mom!

October- The Best Month of the Year

I love October!

This year it was a ton of fun. For Halloween we did a few things. The night before we went to the Dental school pre-party. Last year we went to the official party and decided it was something you only need to do once. The pre-party was great because we got to see everyone before they got wasted- always a plus. Jacob was as clever as ever and went as a sim lab mannequin. It was pretty funny how he pulled it all together.

The mannequin
Ray From Mortal Combat was a pretty good dentist.

On Halloween I had to go to school and do hair. They let us dress up and had a costume competition in which I came in second place as Cleopatra! I left school early and headed to our ward trick-or-treat where we decorated a door and passed out candy. Jacob went with the dog costume this night. We realized that probably 1 out of 4 kids will scream and be freaked out by a giant dog lol.

An up close look at my wig and necklace I turned into a headpiece. I put this whole costume together at H&M, gotta love that store.
Later that night we celebrated my birthday by watching a scary movie that turned out to be only slightly scary.

Wish List

With my birthday and Christmas coming up I have complied a list of my material wishes. In no particular order

1-iphone-There's an app where you can enter in what you ate and how much you've worked out so really this is for my health and not for other silly reasons :)
2- Leather Jacket. While pricey it will last forever and I would consider it a staple item in any wardrobe
3- Make-up optional kit- Being in cosmo school has done a number on my skin. I blame it on the blow dryers making it so dang hot.
Advanced Makeup Optional® Skin ($166 Value)
4-Books. I love reading and find it makes my morning and evening bus ride go by quiker when I have good book on hand
5-Shears. The pair my school gave me are pretty crappy so a new pair would be amazing
6- Eye shadow. I'm trying to convert all my eyeshadow to pallet form so they are easier to travel with so far I have three in my 12 pallet case

What are you wishing for?

Our new home

Just kidding! Over the holiday weekend we decided to be tourist with our friends Patrick and Sarah and visited the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. It was fun but definitely only something you need to do once. The story is that Mrs Winchester visited a psychic after her husband died and was told that all the spirits that were killed by her husbands gun company would hunt her unless she built a house and never stopped building it. This means there is now a house in San Jose with stairs that lead to no where and doors that open out to nothing.
Mrs Winchester was short enough to walk through that little door
the easy rider stairs she had for her bad knees

Can you see the door that leads you to a free fall?

After checking that off our list we headed to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium. It was fun but again probably something we only need to do once.
Later that week we went to the Academy of Science. We went during there night life hours which was great because you have to be 21+ meaning there were no kids screaming. If you don't have kids this is definitely the way to see this place. tickets are way cheaper and you can see everything you want. Jacob and I both thought this place was better than Monterrey.
The only picture we really took. An albino alligator.

Always playing catchup

Sorry it's been awhile since a post. Nothing extremely exciting has been happening but to prove we are alive and doing well here are some photos.

We went to Muir woods again with a first year couple and had a fun time.

Where's my other half?

Jacob and some of his classmates joined a city soccer league. There name is the amalgamators (I have no idea if that's how you spell it). They have done really well so far.

a sign I made to cheer them on

out and about

A couple of days ago it was Mormon night at the Giants Stadium. The Robins family was on the ball and got tickets for a bunch of us to go. It was a great game (they won!) and the weather was just right.

In other news- Jacob recently bought a surf board off craigslist and has been hitting the waves.

While Jacob is busy with school, golf, or surfing I am either doing hair or getting a mani/pedi with some friends. Kari-lynn found a great deal we just couldn't pass up
