Little Kickers

We signed Matea up for soccer. It's a program called little kickers that the indoor club does. Matea's age group is mom and tot so it's been fun running after her with my growing belly.  It's by far her favorite thing we've paid for her to do. She loves her soccer shirt and soccer shoes and says them over and over on the way to class. She does a surprisingly good job at listening to her coach J. She's probably the slowest runner but she loves to squeal the whole time which makes me laugh. For Valentines day we are getting her an Adidas tracksuit that I'm sure she'll love

 

Christmas

So there were too many pictures from thanksgiving to pick so I'm just skipping to Christmas. We spent it here in New Mexico and it was a lot of fun. All of Jacob's sibling were able to come down and the cousins were able to play. Nanny got stuff for gingerbread houses and matea loved it.

 This was the first year we had Christmas in our home.

Pretending we're photographers

I really wanted to get photos of Matea at two. Being nauseas and a bit scatter brained this pregnancy meant getting a professional photographer wasn't going to happen. So one Saturday morning Jacob and I decided to try our hand at photography. We headed down to the bosque and snapped a ton of photos. While not the best quality we got a few that at least capture what she looked like at age 2.

Matea's B-day

Matea Had her 2nd Birthday party today. I was going to do a big party but with morning sickness kicking my butt it got downgraded to just family and one friend. It ended up being perfect though.

The them was barn/farm and I had a fun time searching pinterest for ideas.

The cupcakes were the funnest to make. We also had veggies and fruit, pigs in a blanket, Mac&cheese, and chocolate milk

I didn't get a great picture of the decorations but there were red streamers, cow balloons, and all her farm toys out to play with

We played pin the tail on the donkey, sang old McDonald, and made paper plate roosters and sheep

After trying to grab the candle she blew it out successfully.

Halloween

Halloween really began with Jacob's work party. His office does group costumes and this year was super heros. Obviously Jacob went as Superman.

Matea loved her dog costume that my sister in law Jessica let us borrow (thanks again)

That night Jacob switched into his dog costume and I took my dogs for a walk 

After going around our block we went back and passed out candy

And then played in the leaves

Maxfield Reunion

At the end of July My family was able to get together for a mini reunion. We started it of by getting a private box at a mariners game.

Tired after a busy morning

We then headed to the cabin. We played games, watched the olympics, ate, took family pics, had the 2nd model boat shoot out, and went boating. Here are a ton of photos as proof.
